Muhammad & Friends
![]()
A couple of weeks ago, we visited my sis-in-law's new house at Punggol. It was an enjoyable visit. We marvelled at the sleek newly renovated flat. We cooed at the cool new flat screen high-definition TV that was attached to the wall in the living room area. Everything was so...new.
But the highlight of the day had nothing to do with the house. It was, of course, Muhammad. The missus and I have been worried that the boy does not socialise enough and we were afraid that it would be hard for him to make friends when he enters school next year. So, when I brought him to the nearby playground and saw that he got along well with the other kids playing there, I was overjoyed. When I told the missus what happened, she was relieved. We are happy with how things have progressed with Muhammad.
I am grateful to Allaah for all that He has Given us. Surely, we will certainly be lost without His Guidance. All Praise is for Allaah Alone.

the night shift...
Its 1700hrs and most people are making their way back from their offices. As for me, I have to drag myself out of this chair and get ready for the night shift. -sigh-
Our bodies are just not made to work at night. Don't they realise that? Sheesh!

why so slow?
I went grocery shopping this morning. When I was waiting for the lift to arrive, a middle-aged Chinese lady came along. In a rushing manner, she went straight for the lift button and began pressing it furiously. Looking up at the display screen, she exclaimed in a somewhat desperate manner," Aiyah, why so slow?!" (Gosh, why is the lift taking so long?!).
I looked at her blankly. I wanted to tell her that the lift's speed is constant and standard thus pushing the button repeatedly will not speed up the lift's arrival. I ached to explain to her that we have to conform to the lift's speed and not the other way around. I was about to say something when the lift arrived and the doors opened. The lady rushed in and I followed suit. When the lift reached her floor, she smiled, thanked me and got off. She looked content as her objective was met. I stood there watching her leave as the lift doors closed. I guess I didn't need to explain after all.

Hello all...
I am back with a new look and a new style. Tried logging into my old blog but I just could not remember the password. Well, I might as well start a new one. So here it is. Check out the photo albums, there is only one album for the time being but I am sure I will have more of them soon.
